How to play

Tap with a forest animal band in a game of beats, pauses, and short musical phrases. Animal Beat Parade combines original synthesized music with visual cues, replay, and an unscored space to explore instruments.

  1. Choose a level and starting recommendation. Follow the Beat asks you to tap when a note reaches the ring. Listen & Repeat has separate listening and response phases.
  2. Use Space for one instrument or F and J for two. The Parade Stars recommendation uses four instruments with A, F, H, and L for drum, bell, cymbals, and horn. Labeled buttons also support touch play.
  3. Watch the demonstration before responding. Scored play counts correct-instrument timing and extra taps; demonstrations are unpenalized. Pause and replay whenever needed.
  4. Choose four-instrument Free Play to make sounds without a score. If sound is unavailable or unwanted, use the clearly labeled Visual Practice mode.

What you can practice

Notice a steady beat, pauses, instrument changes, and the order of short phrases. Results describe taps in this game, not musical talent, intelligence, or academic achievement.

Choosing a starting point

Suggested ages are 3–8. Begin with one instrument at ages 3–4, explore two instruments and short echoes at ages 5–6, or try the four-instrument Parade Stars arrangement at ages 7–8. All 40 levels stay open. Choose comfortable timing and adjust calibration if needed.

Questions about this game

How much music is included?

There are 40 fixed levels across five forest themes, with original locally synthesized music. Free Play offers four instruments. No external music stream or microphone is used.

Can I play silently?

Yes. Visual Practice shows cues without requiring sound. Audio and Visual Practice results are saved separately, so silent practice is not presented as an audio timing result.

Is there a time limit?

Songs follow timed beats, but there is no early failure or life system. You can pause, resume explicitly, replay, or choose unscored Free Play.
